Off the Couch Summer Jam is Here

WASHINGTON, DC - On June 19th from 1pm-7pm EST / 10am-4pm PST / 6pm-12am GMT, Words Beats & Life will air its third installment of its Off the Couch Virtual Dance Party series on WBL's website, and Twitch channel. Venues are reopening and DJs are back to entertaining live, still, its evident that live streaming is here to stay. Streaming platforms allow music fans to party with their favorite DJs and artists even if they live across the country. Words Beats & Life has been hosting live-streamed virtual DJ dance parties, live musical performances and jam sessions, and spoken word showcases to get all the weekend warriors stuck at home a taste of how things used to be.
Off the Couch virtual dance party is just that; getting those buns off the couch and on to the dance floor, which has been the living room floor for most people this past year. Words Beat & Life's quarterly event brings you a full day of dance music covering a variety of genres mixed by a rotating set of 5 notable DJ’s located around the world, and as summer approaches, the line ups are getting hotter and hotter. The next event will air Saturday, June 19th from 1pm-7pm EST / 10am-4pm PST / 6pm-12am GMT.
Performing DJs will feature music representing multiple global sounds like Hip-Hop, House, AfroBeat, Baile Funk, Reggaeton, Funky Groove, UK Garage, 808 Slappers and many more exciting genres. “We wanted to offer our audience a positive activity and unique response to the current world events, and that positivity and uniqueness lies in what our collective of artists and DJ's brings to the table,” says Off the Couch event creator and WBL Director of Marketing Dominic DJ D Painter Painter. "Off the Couch DJ's all come from diverse backgrounds and demographics that are reflected in their musical styles, sharing their individuality and offering a platform to express their creativity speaks to the hearts of people in all their diversity."
