Where will DMV Made happen on the National Mall?

The grounds are at 14th St SW & Jefferson Dr SW, Washington DC 20004


Which Smithsonian museum(s) are closest to the festival grounds?

The DMV Made grounds are located diagonally across 14th St NW from The National Museum of African American History and Culture, and 1-block South of the National Museum of American History.


Is there a metro station near the location?

The Smithsonian Blue / Orange / Silver line metro stop is a 1-block walk from the DMV Made Festival grounds. Exit the station on 12th St and Jefferson Dr. The festival grounds are West at the corner of the block of Jefferson Dr SW and 14th St SW.

Can I bring food and drinks?

Bringing your own food and non-alcoholic beverages is strongly suggested. We encourage you to have water to stay hydrated in the heat. Food trucks will also be available a short walk away in the areas surrounding the museums. The National Mall has an NO ALCOHOL policy enforced by park police.


Can I bring a picnic blanket?

Yes, blankets to sit and lay on are welcome at the event.

Can I bring a lawn chair and umbrella?

No, park services do not allow for the use of lawn chairs on the grass of the National Mall. Umbrellas are also not allowed. To protect your sun, we recommend you bring a hat, sunglasses and wear sunscreen. Instead of a chair, bring a blanket.

How do I become a volunteer at the event?

Anyone wishing to volunteer their time at DMV Made can fill out this form.


Can I be a vendor at the DMV Made Festival?

No, the park services do not allow for commercial transactions on the grounds. Words Beats & Life will not be working with vendors for this event. All food sales will be by licensed street vendors located on public streets near the neighboring museums, not working with the event on the grounds of the National Mall.

Will COVID-19 safety precautions be taken and enforced at the WBL Fest?

We follow the regulations set by the District of Columbia and the state of MD, which do not require wearing masks while attending indoor or outdoor events. Anyone wishing to wear a mask while attending the WBL Fest is welcome to take the precautions they desire to avoid any possible health risks.
