WBLit Mag: Issue 003 (Fall 2023)
We are excited to put this edition of the Words Beats & Life (WBL) Lit Mag in your hands, as it represents a new era of the WBL Academy. For the first time in the Academy’s history, youth ranging from grades 3 through early college are all taking hip-hop arts classes during the academic year, both in person and online. In these pages, you will find poetry, visual art, and student profiles.

Our young artists were inspired by the authors of the works they read during their summer book club. What you’ll find in this literary magazine is truly a reflection of the spirit of our program and the talent our young people possess. Something as simple as a book club brought together youth of all ages and helped them to express their fears, hopes and dreams.
