Eats + Beats is Back with Some Heat this Sunday with Two More Super Dope Artists.
Washington, DC, January 13, 2021 - - Episode 2 of Words, Beats & Life’s ‘Eats + Beats’ is airing this Sunday, January 17th, 2021 to showcase another spectacular duo. Every 3rd Sunday, WBL hosts an online discussion series, where chefs, music producers and DJs break bread and chop it up—literally.  Featured guests explore the dualities of their experiences within culinary arts and musical production.

This month Eats+Beats is getting spicy with LA based Chef Anthony Brown (IG: @Thesharkanthony) and DMV producer Slimkat (IG: Rhythmlingomusic). The two will have a candid lunch time chat and explore the similarities between music production and the culinary arts—oh, and let’s not forget the eats and the beats. Chef Anthony will be demonstrating how he makes his Roasted Tomato Jerk Chicken with Turmeric Mashed Potatoes

while Slimkat swoons us on his Akai MPC2500 beat machine.

You don’t want to miss this one folks. Tune in this Sunday on our Youtube channel, Facebook Live or Vimeo via WBLinc.org and catch Eats+Beats every 3rd Sunday of every month.

About Slimkat

Like many artists, SlimKat started young: As a student at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, he played music over the loudspeakers in between class periods, and later bought a sampler and began to create his own music. Still, the budding artist didn’t release anything until the mid-2000s. In 2010, SlimKat released a beat tape, Soundfreakers Vol. 1, which collected heavy drums and old vocal samples. Elsewhere, he’s produced singles for singer Nicholas Ryan Gant and California rapper Trek Life.

About Chef Anthony

New York native Chef Anthony Brown, has an ever-evolving passion for the culinary arts, physical fitness and spiritual awareness. As a self-made chef, Anthony’s appetite for learning never subsides; he’s constantly on the hunt for the next cultural reference that will enhance his next meal idea.
