Roses, Concrete, & Poetry | Airbnb Street Art Workshop

Are you looking for a fun activity in D.C.? Are you a lover of all things Hip-Hop culture? Here at Words Beats and Life, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Create beautiful artwork in an Airbnb social impact experience through poetry or music!

Join us in a street art workshop where we’ll cut and manipulate flowers to make temporary flower based public art installations in the Columbia Heights neighborhood that include poetry or lyrics from songs. Select flowers, designs, a poem or song and be guided through the process.

This workshop will allow D.C. residents and visitors to learn and make art pieces that speak to you and the community!

What to Expect

This is roughly a 2 hour workshop that will take place in the St. Stephens Church and will conclude with installations of flowers on the two square blocks that surround the church.

We will provide all the supplies you need including multiple kinds of fresh cut flowers and books of poetry. Feel free to bring your favorite pieces!

Guests ages five and up can attend, up to 10 guests total.

This experience is a lot of fun especially for people that are or want to be makers. In an abundance of caution we are requiring all participants to present proof of vaccination to enter our experiences.
