Chelsea Zhu is the 2025 Maryland Youth Poet Laureate. She is deeply grateful to be recognized by the National Young Arts Foundation, National Student Poets Program, Scholastic Writing Awards, The Adroit Prizes for Poetry, and Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award. Her work is published in  the Nature of Our Times and "People Need Nature" print anthologies. Chelsea is an alumni of the Bow Seat Creative Action for Conservation Ocean Awareness Contest Team, Washington Writers in Residence Program, and Iowa Young Writers' Studio Residential Program. She serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Between the Lines Journal and Genre Managing Editor of Polyphony Lit.
