On Sunday, August 30, from 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, the streets of Downtown DC transform into the city's biggest game room as Words Beats & Life, in collaboration with the DowntownDC BID, presents the Inaugural Downtown Game Day!
Come one, come all! Gather your family, rally your friends, represent your neighborhood, and show the District what you've got. Whether you're a seasoned strategist, a casual competitor, or just looking for a great afternoon in the city, there's a seat at the table for you.

Admission is FREE, but registration is required.
When you register, simply select the top three games you'd most like to play throughout the day. If you're only interested in one or two games, that's perfectly fine—just choose those.
This is an event for all ages and every skill level. Beginners, families, longtime players, and fierce competitors are all welcome. Whether you're chasing victory, making new friends, or just looking for a memorable afternoon downtown, you'll find your place at the table.
There will be prizes, awards, and plenty of opportunities to earn neighborhood bragging rights, along with music, great energy, and friendly competition throughout the day.
