Clinton D. White is the President of Counselor Global Solutions (CGS), LLC, a premier global trade consultancy and business advisory firm committed to advancing American commerce across international markets. We serve as the critical conduit between U.S. business interests and the global economy—delivering strategic, compliant, and performance-driven trade solutions that unlock international opportunities and mitigate cross-border complexities.
Our mission is to empower enterprises, institutions, and governments by providing end-to-end support that ensures successful and sustainable global market entry and expansion. We specialize in structuring high-integrity, policy-aligned trade engagements that foster durable buyer-supplier relationships, de-risk supply chains, and streamline operational execution across jurisdictions.
Previously, Mr. White served as the Counselor for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). A distinguished executive and Senior Foreign Service Officer (FSO), he brings more than 25 years of experience in international development, U.S. foreign policy, and leadership within a national security agency with a $38+ billion portfolio spanning 90 countries.
Prior to his role as USAID’s highest-ranking FSO, Mr. White was the USAID Regional Representative for Barbados, beginning in September 2019. In this role, he oversaw a portfolio encompassing the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and Barbados, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Bahamas.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business (Marketing) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of West Florida. Additionally, he pursued studies in Organizational Development and Leadership at the University of West Florida and Public Financial Management at Duke University.
He loves all forms of hip hop, and enjoys writing poetry.
