Amiri Nash

2021 DC Youth Poet Laureate

 

Amiri Nash is a freshman at Brown University, where he studies English Literature and Civil Law. He founded Sign of Justice, an organization aiming to spark conversations about anti-Blackness which was featured on CNN, The Washington Post, & Forbes. He has written editorial pieces for The Providence Journal and he was also featured personally for Sign Of Justice in NPR: Amiri is the president/founder of his school's Model UN, and he is a 2021 GLAAD Campus Ambassador, where he seeks to uplift and amplify queer stories. He plays the piano, loves pasta and binging on Netflix.
