Damon
Teaching Artist
Damon Modarres is an artist and educator. He graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Women’s & Gender studies from American University.
As an expert of the arts, Damon is an artist who is a part of the hip-hop/R&B/afro collective “242”, who has opened for artists such as Smino, Duckwrth, Tinashe, Chris Patrick, etc. and have performed all around the DMV community at venues such as DC9, Songbyrd, Transmission DC, University of Maryland, Stevenson University, and more.
Damon has been a Teaching Artist with The Civic Circle, an Assistant Teaching Artist with ArtStream and Carpe Diem Arts, and a Teaching Assistant with The Secret Society of Science Songwriters (an extracurricular STEAM program at Northwest High School). Click here to view my fullresume!
