J’keyah (Ja-Key-Yah) - Academy Manager

J’Keyah is a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art with a Concentration in Textile Design and a minor in Art History. While she has a Fine Arts Arts background, her emphasis is on textile design and patternmaking. She has experience in varying mediums from drawing, painting, photography, weaving, screenprinting, and many more. She teaches the Fine Arts class which focuses on exploring Art History and the techniques of various artist. Students then take those techniques learned and transform them into their own personal renditions. Her inspiration for teaching lies with her passion for keeping the youth involved in art and providing them a creative outlet.
