Jabulani

Jabulani is a native Washingtonian, Duke Ellington percussionist alumni, Words Beats & Life Academy graduate, lyricist and international DJ. 

He recently returned from living/creating in Accra, Ghana for nearly the last two years, where he emerged and blossomed as a DJ, accruing multiple residencies and his own radio show ‘HOME2HOME Radio’ hosted by the notable Oroko Radio.

Jabulani's sets often feature mashups that intentionally weave tracks from DC local homegrown talent, paying homage and holding the mission to introduce diverse audiences to DC’s robust artistry. His selections lace House, Jersey Club, Afrobeat, Rap, Amapiano, Trap, R&B, Alte, Dancehall, Neo-Soul, Baile, Black/Afro Rave sounds and even Go-Go to create unique experiences for his audience.

While in Ghana, he featured at a number of notable clubs, restaurants and venues such as Kozo Restaurant, Exhale Lounge, Vine Restaurant, Palm Moments, The Village, Jamestown Boutique, SOHO Accra, Gold Coast Restaurant, AAAG’s Juneteenth Celebration Festival and many others. Since being back stateside, he's been seen at Focus Lounge, Saint-Ex Cafe, The Birchmere, Lux, DJ RBI’s Crate Conventions, DC’s Art All Night, DJ Underdog and DJ Nativesun’s radio show ‘Unseen FM’.
