OFF THE COUCH | FARRAH FLOSSCETT

Since 2014, Farrah Flosscett continues to demonstrate why she’s considered a staple in Washington, DC’s DJ scene. After winning a nationwide female DJ battle in 2020, she then acquired a live radio station residency on WHUR's 96.3FM, it’s no wonder Sean "Diddy" Combs chose her as one of 2017’s "Deleon 100" influencers. And in summer 2020, Rita's Malt recruited Flosscett to be a Beverage Influencer for their “Do You” campaign.

Flosscett’s signature style of blending R&B, Funk, Reggae, Hip Hop, House and Afrobeat is rooted in her father’s own DJ history. In turn, she serves as an inspiration to her peers, as well as burgeoning DJs everywhere. This was further exemplified In 2017 when Flosscett co-founded Throwing Shade - DC’s twice-monthly event highlighting the best in new and classic Hip Hop and future R&B, featuring guest DJs alongside resident Flosscett herself. It has since evolved into a music collective that holds annual residencies at Miami’s Art Basel.

Flosscett has shared stages worldwide with artists such as Method Man, Ludacris, Brandy, Action Bronson, Lion Babe, Wale and others. She has performed at Trinidad & Tobago’s Open House Festival, SXSW, NCF and holds reoccurring gigs in both Costa Rica and Puerto Rico.
