Emerald Holman, a Washington, D.C. native has lived in every quadrant except NW. She earned her BFA in Dance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a former professional dancer with Step Afrika! Emerald began her teaching career two years ago with DC Public Schools. Emerald also spearheaded the distribution of approximately 2000 PPE Kits in total throughout Wards 5, 7, and 8 as a part of the Step Afrika! “Mask It Up” Campaign to highlight Covid Safety. She is a proud member of the Federal City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, where she continues to serve her community. She is very excited to be a part of the WBL team!
