Britany Rickett - Sr. PR Associate
Britany joins Words, Beats & Life, Inc. with over a decade of experience in media, diversity & inclusion, non-profit marketing, and storytelling. First joining W.B.L as a volunteer while attending Howard University to pursue a degree in Film Production, Britany has continued her relationship with the organization over the years across many capacities such as advocate, donor, and consultant. Britany's lives by the motto, "service is a mandate of success." At every stage of her career, she's made the intentional effort to partner with and support local community organizations to share her knowledge and time. Starting in the Media Center at the Human Rights Campaign (Washington, D.C.) as an intern, Britany supported necessary functions in media production and editing, while being exposed to donor campaigns and non-profit communications. Most recently, Britany served as Pro Bono Marketing Director for Chicago based arts non-profit Art of Culture, formerly Donda's House, where she developed and implemented strategies to establish brand identity, grow media relationships and mentions, social presence, and deliver against strategic pillars. In addition to supporting organizations that affirm communities through access to the arts and technology, Britany serves as Media Director at a Chicago based media agency and has worked with major brands across categories from travel and hospitality, CPG, retail, to insurance. In her role, Britany is most excited about growing relationships and expanding the awareness of Words, Beats, & Life.
