HOT AND FRESH OUT THE KITCHEN—EATS + BEATS, EPISODE 4 WILL AIR SUNDAY MARCH 21ST, 2021

WASHINGTON, DC— Words Beats & Life will host its fourth episode of the virtual culinary show Eats + Beats, next Sunday, March 21st at 1pm. Eats + Beats is a show where chefs and music producers break bread and chop it up - literally. Every month, WBL hosts a candid conversation via Facebook and Twitch where the guests explore the commonalities in how they move from inspiration to execution to final product. This month will feature Chef KaTisha J. Smittick (@mentals.meals) and producer, Noe Zelaya (@nozsbeats).

With Spring right around the corner, Chef KaTisha has decided to allure viewers with a fun take on classic cajun flavors, with her double cajun seafood stack (yum—check out her instagram for more food porn). Chef KaTisha, a DMV native and retired US Army Staff Sargent of 11 years, works as a personal Chef and is the owner of Mental's Meals. KaTisha is the true definition of renaissance woman, with a myriad of degrees and escapades. Her passion for traveling and experiencing new cultures is reflected in the food she delivers.  Equally as impressive is her co-host and this months featured music producer, Noe Zelaya. Scrolling through his Instagram and Soundcloud is similar to popping in a throwback J Dilla cassette tape. A Virginia native, Noe uses his mpc2000xl beat machine to make sounds reminiscent of jazzy, soulful, boombap Detroit style Hip-Hop beats.

"I was given an entire binder full of Hip Hop CDs in 5th grade. The first CD was a "Big L" album. Ever since then, I taught myself how to make beats like the originators of the Golden Era, with 20 + beat tapes.”

This episode will no doubt be a good one. Words Beats Life hosts this show every 3rd Sunday, the goal of Eats + Beats is not only too educate and entertain viewers, but to provide those in the community who are following their passions with an alternative platform to share the incredible art they are making.  Guests are encouraged to participate in the virtual conversation via the comment section, the event is free and open to all.
