For those that may not know, WBL’s own “DJ RBI” has a radio show along with the world renowned “DJ Two Tone Jones” called “Ill Street Grooves” (Mondays, 10-11pm EST, 89.3 WPFW-FM). Earlier this week they had a special two-hour show interviewing Clyde Stubblefield, Fred Wesley, and John “Jabo” Starks on the legacy of Mr. Stubblefield, the science of drumming and the impact of the music of The JB’s on hip-hop. Several drummers (Twink, Jon Laine, and D. Madness) came through to rock drum solos.
